Our Commitment to Sow Welfare.

At KPS Farm, we are dedicated to the highest standards of animal welfare.

We proudly use a Sow Stall Free system, which ensures that our sows are free from confinement in stalls, allowing them greater freedom to express natural behaviors.

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have implemented a policy to limit confinement for management purposes to a maximum of 4 hours at a time.

This helps reduce stress and supports better welfare outcomes for our pigs. Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding our Sow Stall Free practices.

Any new farms operated by KPS will follow this welfare standard to ensure consistency across all of our facilities.

Additionally, we are actively exploring ways to further improve sow welfare, such as reducing confinement and transitioning to free-farrowing systems in the future.

We take pride in our commitment to animal welfare and will continue to make strides in improving the lives of our pigs.
